• PhD Student in Computer Science at Dipartimento di Informatica, Elettronica e Sistemistica, University of Calabria  from 2001 to 2004.
• PhD Degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from University of Calabria on February 2005. PhD Thesis: "Languages, Algorithms and Methods for Modeling, Reasoning on, and Mining Workflows", advisor: Prof. Domenico Saccà
• Research Fellow at Institute of High Performance Computing and Networking of the Italian National Research Council from 2005 to 2008.
• Since June 2018, Associate Professor (Professore seconda fascia) of computer engineering, University of Calabria, Italy
